Exceptionally good cuisine, even in these times super delicious dishes to pick up or enjoy on site in your own mobile home. Always very happy
Were there for a Womo dinner. Very friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommended !!
We were there with the Womo (Womo Dinner) and ate very delicious. All super friendly. The table in the Womo was set very nicely ... tablecloth, candles, etc. We felt very comfortable. We will be back definitely.
The Klosterscheuer is a real insider tip in the area around Bad Herrenalb. If you want to eat well after a hike through the beautiful Black Forest, this is the place for you. The kitchen is home-style and of a high standard. The menu includes dishes that are typically expected in this region and are always complemented by special delicacies. There are always modern interpretations of traditional dishes to be found. In addition to the classics, there are also regularly changing offers that are seasonal; So it doesn't get boring from a culinary point of view if you eat there often. The quality of the products is fresh and always at a high level, I was never disappointed. The ambience is unique, thanks to the beautiful, lavishly restored building with its very own charm. The ambience and kitchen harmonize very well with each other and form a coherent overall concept. The price-performance ratio is very good and therefore I can only recommend everyone to stop by the Klosterscheuer, you will not regret it.
Delicious, varied menu. Sauerbraten from wild boar and beef liver excellent. Nice wine list, very personable service. Unique ambience in the former monastery barn.
Unfortunately not to be recommended. Had twice ordered rump steak with fries, medium. When the meal came, the meat was raw and cold inside. Of course we complained, we didn't get any new meat, but reheated the same thing :( The 28 € for it not justified.
After a few days with dinner in the hotel, we spontaneously decided to visit the Klosterscheuer. We were very late and arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. Nevertheless, we were still able to order our desired 2 courses and received them quickly. We were very impressed by the quality of the food. We had the salmon and goat cheese as a starter, both were super tasty and very, very fresh. The maultaschen with the potato salad was also great. As a Berliner, I can say they were the best mouthfuls I've ever eaten! All in all great! The service was very forthcoming, friendly and not at all intrusive. We will be back!
Great restaurant with a great ambience and very friendly, attentive service. The food tastes great too. There are also (reusable) towels in the toilets, a great plus. P.S. Here people who cannot wear a mask are treated like normal people (already made clear on a notice at the entrance).
Short waiting time! Service was nice and food was of better quality! Unfortunately, we didn't say goodbye! And I've eaten better Maultaschen and Spätzle!
Cozy case in a cozy village. Try the Maultaschen, very tasty.
The food is very good, the staff is very accommodating. However, the portions are very clear in relation to the price. That was different.
The evening before we had reserved a table for 2 at the door, we got one in the hallway to the toilets, in front of a towel cabinet. So we only ordered small portions and only one drink so that we could leave as soon as possible. Anything but a nice evening. Staff and food was good.
Great service and hospitality. Delicious Käsespätzle.
Got a place on the terrace at lunchtime without a reservation, felt comfortable and then came back for dinner. Smoked salmon tartare and trout were great. The service is quick and super friendly. We liked it a lot in the old walls.
On recommendation - extreme disappointment. The service was a complete disaster. Unfriendly, cheeky and absolutely unprofessional. Chicken came to the table raw, after two calls back a roasted piece of pork came on the table. No go!
Nice location. Super delicious cordon bleu, potato salad unusual, but also delicious. Service staff is sometimes very friendly and fulfills special requests; partly a bit harsh. Prices are okay.
Was there for the first time in July and ate the "trout" with almond butter. Unfortunately, the result was a bit disappointing. There is a little more to it than tossing sliced almonds into melted butter and offering it as almond butter. The trout was average. 14 days ago we wanted to know again and ate roast beef onion with Späzle and roast beef from the Gaistaler cattle. The meat of the beef roast was tender, the roast beef as it should be, the ingredients all delicious. The service was very polite and courteous (she was on the first visits too!). There are reusable towels + disinfectant on the toilet (also a plus). The shop runs great, even when the boss isn't there! So a successful evening in a well-organized restaurant. We'd love to come back there. Tip: work on the fish and the almond butter!
The Italian would find words like 'ottimo', 'bellissimo' or 'phantastico' for the abhorrence of the monastery, as a good German I think of the not so sonorous, but just as enthusiastically meant 'absolutely great'. We had cordon bleu with a fine cheese filling, Wiener-style schnitzel (as it should be fried in clarified butter and of decent thickness) and roasted beef liver with potatoes: EXCELLENT! Quantity / price / performance: 5 stars The young, nimble and amiable service staff Laura deserves a special mention. It is rare that nowadays you can practically read gastronomic wishes from your eyes. The restaurant itself: great ambience, very neat water games with individual terry towels, and a beautiful beer garden can also be found. We come more often now!
Good food, kind and attentive service. English speaking waiters and English menu were a plus for us :-)
Highly Recommended! The food is delicious. Freshness and quality are right here. The whole team is in a good mood. The boss is very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much
Amazing place! And soooo friendly people !!!!
Very tasty salad, the dressing a little too sweet for my taste - (the one with goat cheese) but someone else might love it. What I saw at our table looked very delicious and it tasted like that, according to my blackheads. Too bad that there were no more pasta bags, now we can no longer enjoy it so quickly. Very friendly landlord, sees that his customers are satisfied and looks forward to their visit. The service is a bit brittle in places - but that could also be normal in the region, because I have seen this before. All in all a very recommendable place!
We discovered the restaurant by accident and wanted to fortify ourselves after a hike. Furnishing: Outside, tables and chairs are extremely beautiful and modern, and there are also gas torches. Inside are also very nice items. Service: service nice, food came quickly, you felt comfortable. Menu and selection: Nice menu, many dishes but all from the same group. Food: It all tasted very good, the salad was also very tasty. So I recommend this restaurant to everyone and I would come back again and again.
Just amazing - portions large enough, prices alright and still amazing quality. The owner is very hospitable and friendly, makes you feel welcome right away. Fellow tourists, don't pass up on this one and try the cooked snails!
Perfect..
Great experience. Had schnitzel with fries. A bit salty but tasty. They use butter to fry the meat. Food took a while to arrive but well worth it. Server was very friendly. My wife got the surf n turf. Not steak n lobster but chicken and shrimp. Would have been better with 4 shrimp instead of 2. It's a smallerish meal. Got overcharged for a cappuccino that we didn't order but the server promptly refunded it. Definitely will return
Super!!
Good
Good food... good service
Reliable excellency ! We went there last Sunday and it was again a great experience. The cuisine is local and delicious, the decor is fab, the terrace is dolce vita Schwarzwald-style: all you need for an unforgettable evening out. We remained especially amazed this Sunday because there was a festival, lots of visitors, yet we were seated promptly and the service was super-friendly. Regarding hygiene, their bathrooms were kept clean and stocked with fresh, individual cotton towels until late night. Most places would just have put paper rolls for the many guests that day. Klosterscheuer kept up their standards, and that's very laudable. Here 2 extra stars for you, Klosterscheuer-Team ! 🌟🌟
Friendly people. Super nice food.
Nice place and good food.
Never disappointed there. Always good food and service!
Atmospheric place with authentic German food
What a puece of work. Very beautiful location with despondent and tired waiters. We waited 30 minutes for the menu, 15 minutes to make an oreder and after another 30 minutes we left. I can not comment on food, it never appeared, but the bottle of Riesling we had was spectacular! Waiter also mumbled profanities in German when we left ...it was so funny to see people not taking respo sibimity of caring for their customers, but just staking people on a top of each other and hoping for the best. This is the first SAD I had in Germany.
Nice regional and seasonal cooking. I ate Gans and was really tasteful. Good service and nice atmosphere, especially upstairs
Great restaurant, the owner is a class act, went twice during my holiday he was there both times. The food was superb and the staff was great. Cheers Jean
